332: Shin Godzilla [2016] Movie Discussion

This week we take a look at Shin Godzilla from 2016, apparently the 3rd reboot of the Japanese Godzilla franchise that attempts to take the film back to its allegorical and political roots that we here at Spoiler Filled HQ enjoyed so much. While we agree it respects this there are still plenty of good and bad things up for discussion.

331: Moby Dick [1956] Movie Discussion

Ah, The White Whale! Has always been celebrated for it’s blubberyness…

Drunk Orson Welles references aside, this week we aim our crtical harpoons at 1956’s Moby Dick, a story of obsession and death with an almost omnipresence in literature and culture. This time we discuss such things as: Hollywood sailor speak, scar scrutiny, Herman Melville’s penchant for strange names, gay sailor undertones, dream casting Daniel Day Lewis and, of course, a drunk looking Orson Welles priest.

330: Bee Movie [2007] Movie Discussion

Do we know what we love at the Spoiler Filled HQ? We just love when a movie is more or less solely based on a pun. And that’s what we get with the Jerry Seinfeld vehicle Bee Movie. Well, not quite as there are definitely some odd and unique moments in this average 2000’s kids movie. We certainly couldn’t have predicted sexual tension being a bee and a human, nor could we predict a Ray Liotta cameo as a honey farmer but maybe the bee related stand-up comedy was a little too much.

329: The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

This week the Spoiler Filled posse are indulging in a little old school espionage with The Man From Uncle. Listen now to hear us sound off about cannibalism, the delights of in car sandwiches and once again call into question Rich’s alleged heterosexuality. Enjoy!

328: Sword of Trust [2019] Movie Discussion

What we want from 2022 is a little more trust. And an old sword. I think we may have been a little confused by choosing this weeks less than antique film Sword of Trust, but i think its safe to say we’re happy with the decision. And we certainly won’t be sheltering it away from the rest of world as we freely discuss this slightly obscure comedy gem.
