182: SFFCH – Besharam

182 Besharam.jpg

This week Rich and Abi tiptoe into the Bollywood landscape and watch Besharam from 2013. They came in knowing very little about the genre and left knowing even less. Listen now as they try to unpick the visual splendor from the narrative crazy paving and understand just exactly what it is that just happened to them. Enjoy!

180: SFFCH – Nochnoy Dozor a.k.a Night Watch [2004]

180 Night Watch

We like a bit of crazy here at Spoiler Filled and Russian director Timur Bekmambetov usually delivers just the kind of weird we like. But perhaps his first international hit Nochnoy Dozor a.k.a Night Watch from 2004 is a little too much crazy for us to handle (despite someone actually having read the book for a change!)? There’s still plenty to enjoy in this slick looking movie however, such as: vampires, magicians, shape-shifters, parallel dimensions, blood curses, destructive crow tornadoes, living stuffed owls, creepy spider dolls and so much more we just don’t understand.
